TO THE TOP OF THE WORLD...

We want our members and the people who benefit from their legal services to soar. As Edmund Hillary* said soon after he returned from his Everest climb, "It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves." Attorneys in Montgomery County have achieved success for more than 150 years by improving ourselves and the community in which we live. Our Montgomery County Bar Association not only represents the interests of attorneys but also represents all of the good that attorneys can be. Few bar associations surpass the community outreach efforts of this organization. Through scholarships, charitable fundraising, Law Day education programs, food drives, and support of the Montgomery County Fair, among many other programs, the Bar Association is a vital part of the growth of this great county.

Welcome to our website. Montgomery County is one of the most rapidly growing counties in the United States. As you might expect then, this Association with almost 400 members is one of the fastest growing bar associations in the Nation. We are a diverse, serious, yet fun-loving and professional association with outstanding programs each month. We are proud of the Montgomery County legal community and the terrific judges and Courthouse personnel that this county has to offer. Our monthly luncheons attract between 50 and 150 members and their guests, and fulfill a significant portion of the Mandatory Continuing Legal Education requirements. We have monthly happy hours and other social events as well as other programs and activities... and don't forget to qualify for a Courthouse Badge by presenting a Letter of Good Standing in the Montgomery County Bar Association to the Sheriff's Office.

We look forward to your participation in this terrific professional organization. We hope you enjoy exploring our Website. We hope you soar!

    Sincerely,

    President

    * George Crabbe wrote in the "The Gentleman Farmer" in 1812:

Who calls a lawyer rogue, may find, too late,

On one of these depends his whole estate.

Just imagine what Sir Edmund Hillary could have accomplished if only he had been a lawyer.
