The Law Library

The Bar Association appoints and oversees the statutory Law Library Committee for Montgomery County, which contributes to the oversight and management of the Law Library under the Texas Government Code. Long-time Conroe real estate attorney Don Stocking (telephone 936.441.3333), a Past President of the Montgomery County Bar Association, currently serves as the Chairman of the Law Library Committee. The Committee sponsors major programs - including continuing legal education seminars - that facilitate the growth and development of the Law Library.

The Law Library Manager, who also acts as Executive Director of the Montgomery County Bar Association, is Montgomery County resident, Mrs. Belvery Collins. Bel Collins is a first-rate library professional who is trained in technological applications and who oversees the growth of the Library's collection.

The Law Library received a major grant from the State of Texas Infrastructure Program a few years ago to implement a technology program in order to make the high-tech features of the Montgomery County Law Library among the most advanced for a library of its size.

The technology, Mrs. Collins, and her first-rate staff, combine with an up-to-date collection to provide the legal community and the public with this important source of knowledge and information.
