Dear Fellow Lawyers:

The year 2009 is here. As the great past president E. Tay Bond once said, "the opportunity to better ourselves and those around us is inevitable." Your local Bar Association is putting forth its best effort to improve each member's practice, help keep work and home balanced, and contribute meaningfully in the community.

There are several ways lawyers can contribute to the legal and local community, developing professionally and personally. Some of the ways are volunteering for the scholarship committees, organizing social events, speaking at Law Day, or preparing and serving food for the Annual Courthouse Appreciation Barbeque.

We encourage every lawyer to join our professional and charitable association and participate as your days allow. We recognize your time is limited and valuable, and ask for your participation in areas that suit you best.

Additionally in 2009, we will welcome three new judges in Montgomery County, County Court at Law Number Five, and two new district judges. Please join us and obtain your Attorney Courthouse Access Card. Also remember to join us for our members-only Bar Poll! We look forward to meeting you soon.
